For over 25 years, BindalJuru and Koa woman Kerri-Lee Harding has lived true to her passion for using radio as a means of sharing stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Now, as the NITV/SBS Executive Producer of Radio and Podcasting, Kerri-Lee has come a long way since her early days as a volunteer broadcaster at Melbourne’s 3CR.

In her first interview with Connection Matters Radio, Kerri-Lee discusses the crucial role that Aboriginal voices have in Australian media, and the importance of self-determination through Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in positions of influence.

She also talks of what led her to radio and urges young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to explore the opportunities in the field of media.
