While catering and hospitality industry businesses are closing their doors on what seems to be a daily basis across Victoria, Aboriginal-owned Cooee Cafe in Rosebud continues operating despite constant setbacks.

The cafe’s owner, Yamatji/Noongar woman Sharon Brindley, first spoke to Connection Matters Radio (CMR) in September 2020. Then, she had just launched a range of specialty chocolates and packaged meals. Now, 11 months down the track, she shares with us some of the challenges faced by the business and future plans for growth.
