On the 26th of January 2024, Victorian Aboriginal News founder and editor Charles Pakana was invited to speak to a 300+ strong crowd at the Djerring Community Hub in Flemington.

He called on all supporters of Treaty in Victoria to learn three key lessons from the failed Voice to Parliament campaign, those lessons being:

  • Educate and understand the issues
  • Tell the positive truth rather than paint a negative perspective
  • Stand in solidarity with others
