We're pumped to be partnering with one of Victoria’s leading community radio stations, 3RRR 102.7FM.
VAN founder and host Charles Pakana has officially joined Triple R’s flagship program, The Mission, as co-host. Airing every second Tuesday evening between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm, the program brings dedicated First Nations journalism, storytelling, and community discussions directly to Triple R’s listeners.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in broadening the reach of independent Aboriginal media across Victoria. For years, the VAN Talks podcast has brought critical conversations surrounding Treaty, truth-telling, cultural safety, and community leadership to audiences statewide. Partnering with Triple R provides a powerful platform to share those stories with an even wider broadcast audience.
Every fortnight, the broadcast will feature selected segments and interviews from VAN Talks, alongside live, in-studio guests speaking on the political, social, and cultural matters shaping First Nations communities today.
Triple R has long been a cornerstone of Victoria’s independent media sector, well-known for its sustained commitment to featuring First Nations content and supporting Aboriginal broadcasters. Joining forces with 3RRR allows VAN to amplify grass-roots voices, foster cross-sector dialogue, and ensure Aboriginal perspectives remain central to local media.
